Wild strawberry infused wine
- 300g fresh strawberries (or raspberries)
- 20g elder or chamomile flower
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 15g ginger
- 8g galangal root
- 80g cane sugar
- A bottle of white wine
- Mix the sugar and strawberries in a bowl, and leave it for an hour.
- Grate the ginger and galangal root.
- Sprinkle ginger, galangal root, cinnamon, and elderflowers over the strawberries.
- Wrap the bowl in plastic wrap and leave it at room temperature overnight.
- The next day, add white wine to the bowl, and wrap it in plastic again. Leave it at room temperature overnight.
- Strain the wine into a bottle, and it’s ready to enjoy!
Tips
You can drink the wine chilled, or use it as an ingredient in other dishes.
